Driving around the Kansas City area during the holidays is breathtaking. There are many holiday light displays that you don’t want to miss. Here are a few of our favorites!

The Plaza Lights (Kansas City)

This is the most iconic holiday light display in Kansas City. This tradition has been going on for over 90 years. Every year on Thanksgiving, there is a ceremony and a celebrity guest to turn on all the lights.

Crown Center (Kansas City)

The beautiful lights hung up around Crown Center and the 100 ft tall tree known as the Mayor’s Christmas Tree are both something you won’t want to miss. Truly magnificent!

Christmas in the Park (Lee’s Summit – Longview Lake)

Another popular Kansas City area tradition is Christmas in the Park. This display contains over 500,000 lights! This drive-thru extravaganza is something you need to see!

The Holiday Lights on Farmstead Lane (Overland Park – Deanna Rose)

They light up Deanna Rose at night with a light show featuring your favorite holiday scenes. Tune into 90.5 FM and listen while the lights sync up to the music.

Candy Cane Lane (Prairie Village – 7900 Outlook Lane)

A tradition that has been around for over 60 years. The residents of Candy Cane Lane transform their cul-de-sac into a Christmas dream.

 Liberty Light Show (Liberty – Pleasant Valley Baptist Church)

A drive-in light show every Friday-Sunday during the holiday season. There is live music and synchronized lights!

Legends Lighting (Kansas City – Legends Outlets)

This shopping center is beautifully lit up during the holiday season. With lights everywhere and a 45 ft tall Christmas tree, it makes your holiday shopping even more enjoyable!

Christmas Place (Overland Park – 131st & Antioch Road)

This neighborhood turns itself into a winter wonderland. All 23 homes are decorated in the most festive way possible making this drive-thru light display extra special.
